Have been laying low (literally) on a mattress on the floor the past 2 days waiting for the back to heal. Watching lots of TV of course, the latest being a fictionalised drama of Barbara Cartland's life. Her method of dealing with big traumas was to keep on writing. My trauma is not big or dramatic, just tiresome and boring. But I will get on with writing today, setting alarms to remind me to stop, lie down for a while to give the back a rest and then continue.
I have yet to read the whole of GID but will give it the distance of a few more days.
I'd started re-jigging the memoir a few days before my back spazzed on me. I think this may be the way to go, and I will start on the second chapter today.
I think bad backs must be an occupational hazard Pauline. All that sitting at the keyboard. And who knows? You might just find some inspiration in daytime TV. Hope you're back in action soon.
