Did the classical music thing before I wrote this morning, then kept it on throughout. Worked on three chapters of GID, and took a break to read the Anorexia book recommended by a counsellor I meet at aqua aerobics. It's called The Golden Cage. Made some notes then incorporated some bits into the narrative, fleshing out the second most important character in the book. It's moving along quite well. I really want to get it ready to be read in its entirety before I go away in August.
Just watched a program on the incidences of child rape in South Africa. The statistics are staggering and the personal stories heart breaking. The victims' families are so brave in the face of not much help from law enforcement and so few resources. There are 5 million people with HIV there, the highest number of any country in the world, so different from when lived there.
Great to hear you've finished Toledo Steel and sent it off Pauline. Love the classical music idea - I had a similar inspirational experience today. Check out my blog.
